Microsensor Systems, Inc. respects your privacy and is committed
to protect the personal information that you share with us. Generally,
you can browse through our website without giving us any information
about yourself. When we do need your personal information to provide
services that you request or when you choose to provide us with your
personal information, this policy describes how we collect and use
your personal information.
Information Collection
Personal information means any information that may be used to identify
an individual, including, but not limited to, a first and last name,
email address, a home, postal or other physical address, other contact
information, title, occupation, industry, and other information when
needed to provide a service you requested.
When you browse our website, you do so anonymously, unless you have
previously indicated that you wish us to remember your login and
password. We don't automatically collect personal information, including
your email address. We do log your IP address (the Internet address of
your computer) to give us an idea of which part of our website you visit
and how long you spend there. But we do not link your IP address to any
personal information unless you have logged in to our website.
Like many other commercial websites, the Microsensor Systems website may
use a standard technology called a "cookie" to collect information about
how you use the site. Please go to "About Cookies &
Privacy" below for more information.
Registration/Survey Forms. We use registration forms which
allow our customers to register certain information about themselves with
us, in order to gain access to certain product documentation. Through this
registration form, we collect your contact information
(like your telephone number and physical and/or e-mail addresses). The
contact information we collect is used for our own internal tracking
purposes - identification, product selection and evaluation. We use this
information for our own internal purposes only. We do not share your
information with any other parties, unless it is necessary to do so to
comply with state and federal laws.
About Cookies & Privacy
A "cookie" is a small text file which is written by your browser to your hard drive.
This file cannot do any damage to your system. It is not a program and it cannot read,
write, or destroy any data on your hard disk. If the website you are visiting makes it
so, some types of cookies can be used to track your visit on their system - figuring
out your likes and dislikes to allow more targeted marketing. Microsensor Systems
DOES NOT use cookies for this purpose.
The only thing that our cookie remembers or tracks is that you are
logged-in and if you are a registered member. This information is not shared and cannot be
seen by anyone else. The information that you submitted to register (such as your
name, address, etc.) are NEVER placed in a cookie.
There are two types of cookies:
- Session cookies - these are not stored and live only as long
as your session on the website is active.
You should at least enable this type of cookie so that you can access the members-only
content if you are a registered member.
- Persistent cookies - these are stored in your cookies directory
(\windows\cookies if you are using Windows).
This type of cookie resides on your drive even after your browser leaves our
website. It is useful if you want the system to remember that you are a registered member
and to avoid having to re-login every time you visit the site.
If you have turned off all cookies, you will still be able to access
all of the pages on our website, but be advised, certain document links
WILL NOT be available if cookies are turned off, even if you are a
registered member.
